I still haven't purchased any fabric with which to recover my chair, but I have found some good options:
...or I could take the really easy way out and buy the chair I saw at the antiques store today that was already painted and reupholstered to my liking.

I would say the "Diamante", if you decide to paint the chair -- either color, depending on what color goes with your furnishings. I like the Ralph Lauren if you decide just to clean the wood (with mineral spirits) and maybe add a little linseed oil. This is presuming it's not a priceless antique, in which it's ok to recover it, since the cover doesn't look original, but it's not ok to clean it.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not a priceless antique...I don't even know if it's an actual antique!
ReplyDeleteThe diamante also caught my eye, in both colors. :) It's a classy and interesting pattern without being too overpowering and distracting.
